national donut day

Please don't think I'm mentioning national donut day on this blog just because it is police related. I just happen to think donuts are delicious and if you go into dunkin' donuts or krispy kremes, you can get a free donut today.

And speaking of donuts, I saw this adorable melissa & doug wooden doughnut playset at a toy store today.
I'm obviously not doing anything to help the cops and donuts stereotype some are working so hard to change, am I.

  1. As OH tells me, "Honey...it's not donuts anymore. It's Starbucks!" Haha! I love that play set - so cute!

  4. Did not remember in time...drove up as they were closing.

Seriously, though...did any LEO get away with *not* having that T-shirt of police officers, running screaming from a burning doughnut shop? I think the line was it was a cop's nightmare? DH wears that under his vest all the time. Here, the police are not allowed to go to doughnut shops, LOL - an unofficial "order" from the top.

  5. Please, I'm all for the stereotype because I swear my hubs didn't care for doughnuts hardly at all until he became a police officer, and since then, he LOVES the stereotype! He even as a shirt that reads, "Bad Cop, No Doughnut" that he loves to wear (he got it a few years ago when he was still a reserve).

Now anytime we decide to get treats for the fam, big guess as to what specific pastry he recommends...Sigh.

  7. Yesterday the kids and I delivered a dozen doughnuts to night shift. I didn't hear anyone complain about the stereotype. Ha ha!
