I almost forgot! Yesterday and today are Cabela's hometown heroes sale event. Law Enforcement officers get 20% off anything in the store. I'm assuming this is nationwide and not just here where we live. I know HF will be heading over there later today. I know he wants a pair of binoculars, and all I want is a couple of these pop guns for my kids for Christmas. I think they are so cute and so classic. 
Check to see if your local Cabela's is participating in the Hometown Heroes Appreciation days November 11 and 12. This includes Police, Fire, EMS, etc.

Thanks for the tip! Unfortunately there aren't any in NYS! The closest one to us is in CT. I wonder if they'll honor it on the web?
holy cow good thing I am just now seeing this post and we didn't spend our life's savings (albeit at 20% off!) at Cabela's on the 11th and 12th. ha ha ha.
