Fuzz Funnies

I love that in the mornings, he puts on his cowboy boots, his 10-gallon hat, grabs a stick horse, and shoves a gun down the front of his pants. I also love that it usually stays there all day, but when we go on walks, it slips and falls out the bottom of his pants and he just keeps on sticking it back in there. He later learned that his best bet was to stick it in his diaper. It seemed to provide better hold.

This morning I was preparing Luke for his Dr. appointment later today. He has to get some shots. I realize now that I should've used the word immunizations. As expected he started wigging out. I told him it would be over like that (snapped my fingers). Then he asked me if the shot would make him fall down asleep and then later wake up in a strange place. Sounds like he's seen one too many spy movies.

On HF's first swat call out, his job was to stay in the swat vehicle after everyone exited to help to driver back the vehicle into position. The doors had to be open for the driver to see out the back. So when everyone was out, HF said "Last man's out. We're clear to back up." So the driver gunned it forward and then clicked it into reverse at which point HF almost flew out of the vehicle. The driver called out, "Are you still back there?" HF said, "Yeah, I'm still here". But just barely. He had been holding onto the doors, and they started swinging when the driver took off and the doors were slamming on his hands. Oops. No one saw though. So this is between you and me, 'kay guys?  HF doesn't find this story at all funny and I understand why after he explained the fragile nature of the call out and what they were doing at that very moment, but you have to admit in retrospect that that is classic. Everytime I picture it, a little snort of laughter escapes. I guess this would fall under the cop humor category.

Told hubby...well, barely told him cause I was laughing....he didn't laugh much. just shook his head. but I am sure the humour of it will hit him later while he's driving the cruiser down the highway. LOL

Husband once backed the swat vehicle into the strange little knee-high brick pillar at the department.

Oy!!! He really has never lived it down and it's going on 10 years. They LOVE that stuff!

Oh man...so why did the driver go FORWARD first? I'm sure that's what threw your hubby off. Oh well, now he knows for next time.

Your little guy is adorable!

Glad he survived, and the important thing is that no one saw it of course...
