A few days before Christmas, HF and I were at a specialty toy shop trying to find that special "something" for the kids. One of my new superpowers since becoming a police wife is the ability to see all police related paraphernalia wherever I go. So of course, I zoned in on this forlorn little box covered in dust, on a hard to see shelf. I pick it up and it says, FRIDGE PATROL. I turned on the little switch and waved my hand in front of the sensor and it said, "Get back, or you're goin' down!" A few customers turned and looked in my direction. Then it said, "Put your hands up, or I'll shoot." I thought it was funny. HF thought it was pretty lame. I thought it would be a good gag gift or white elephant gift for someone in the department. I said, "what if you anonymously put it in one of the fridges at work?" He still thought it was pretty lame. So I put it back on it's dusty and lonely shelf. I think I might still have a use for it though. I deal with

I think it's hilarious! The police chief in my hubs' department has a cop cookie jar just for the visiting kiddies that yells at you when you open it up, saying "Stop! Police! Step away from the cookie jar!"
Chief gets the biggest kick out of it while the the kids have grown use to the reaction, knowing there's goodies inside.
I too love any police related item, the tackier the better because that's how our department is.

I think it is funny thought the way the little ones think here; it woudl increase the number of times that the fridge is opened and food is removed.
Hilarious! We recently had to put a lock on the fridge...wee one figured out how to open it. Hmmm...now that I think about it, the Fridge Patrol might be counter intuitive...they'd be breaking into the fridge just to mess with him.
I think it's a great idea for a shared fridge at the department!

I love it,and want it!funny I do find myself noticing police paraphernalia too,jewelry or anything with handcuffs,never noticed that stuff before!

Ha ha ha, too cute. However, to be honest, as a police officer myself, I tend to dislike most police knicknacks. I think it's just a cop thing.

I sooo need this for my fridge...LOL :) I might just have to order it if not for anything else but to scare Mr Deputy when he comes home first thing in the morning and gets in the fridge rummaging for food.
