the wish list

HF conveniently typed this out and left it up on my computer where I could find it.

* Flash light with tail cap switch and lanyard (at Lowe's)
* Pouch for flashlight
Pocket clip on flashlight
New Sunglasses
Metal ticket Book
Metal Possee Box
Gear Bag
Off Duty Glock 23
Off Duty spare mag holster for Glock 23
Better winter gloves (something lined with fleece)
Alta knee and elbow pads
Ballistic Helmet
Additional hard armor and carrier
Ambi Selector Switch for AR-15
Goggles for helmet

*=Immediate need.

Thanks HF, I'll see what I can do.

Hey, do you have a police supply store by you? My husband found most of those items at the one by us. You'll have to let us know what you find, I'm sure many of us are often looking for practical gifts for our leo's.

For organizing the back of the squad car--nothing better! Files fit and he can pull out what he needs. And it looks cool. Just in case the link doesn't work--it's a modular hauler from Mountain Smith.

The department doesn't provide a ballistic helmet? He's also going to need good, breathable long underwear. But isn't that sweet of him to not make you guess on stuff?

Where is the DONATE button?
Paypal will set one up for you and admirers of HF might chip in for a thing or two.

And they think WE carry too much in our purses?! ;)

Just kidding. I know how important the gear is, and we're slowly building our supply up as well. Thank goodness for discounts!

Whew! Somebody else is in the same boat as me! I suppose I cannot fault my soon-to-be CopHubby because I certainly dropped a chunk of change to set up my classroom and am currently attending grad school. My learning curve isn't only purchasing cop items but figuring out what the heck these things are! :)

Ok, I am really jealous that your husband gave you a list. Mine will not give me a list, or hints or anything to make my life easier when buying things for him. It's like pulling teeth for holidays. Luckily, after 20 years on the job, I don't have to worry about buying too much of this stuff anymore. But again, you're lucky he at least helps you out. I'm jealous!
